Memo
G. Schachiner was born 1948 in Istanbul, Turkey, with Kurdish and
Greek origins. He immigrated in 1971 as political refugee to Austria.
He studied singing, playing, political economy, philosophy, orientalistic
and musicology. He
is on researching duty of several universities and institutes and
author of several books in several languages.
Currently he is working as composer, singer (bass), conductor, music
and cultur historian, orientalist.
